Music & Memories from the 50s thru the 80s on

About Us

Tired of the same old 300 to 400 songs on the radio every day. The Oldies Collection has over 2000 songs that we rotate constantly with more added each week on the air. We are based in Milford, CT. U.S.A. and broadcast 24/7/365 on Listen 2 My Radio. We specialize in different versions and unedited (long) versions songs that AM radio would not play in it's heyday, because of it's length. We play rockabilly to rock, folk to country, doowop to R&Bl, dance to disco.

Our History

On August 19, 2000 we began as a part time station doing live broadcasts from 7PM to midnight on weekdays and from 7AM to midnight on weekends. On January 1, 2001 we went full time 24/7 using a remote server from live 365 and purchased storage space to handle the music at 32Kbps (stereo quality).

In 2004 we started our first special show outside of our programming grid called The Little Orphan Archie Show. It was aired from 11 to 12 midnight on Saturdays.

In July 2005 all of the live 365 servers crashed and The Oldies Collection went silent. The next day we were back on the air using a live board and a not so healthy Internet connection from my home computer. Two days later we have established server connection and we uploaded all of our music at a higher 56Kbps (FM quality) bit rates where it now stands.

In February 2006 we have added a Saturday morning educational show called "Crap From The Past" with Ron Gerber.

In July 2006 upon renewal of our contract The Oldies Collection increased our server space by 50% to handle more music and more special programming.

Up until February 2009 we have operated in the red with no money coming in. We have added a donation button via pay pal and up currently we have received $1000.00 in donations to the station. We thank you all, as it will offset some costs of server fees and general operation of the station.

Our next achievement was made in March 2009 when this station and many others from our family can now be heard on qualified I-Phone, I-Pods and selected Blackberry devices.

In July 2009, The Oldies Collection started selling and auctioning 45s and LPs and radio shows in E Bay, to help cover expenses

Here is our website on E Bay.

In the aftermath of the devastation in Haiti in early 2010, The Oldies Collection along with many E Bayers has been donating to charities like The American Red Cross, Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund to name a couple and we raised over $30.00 in donations from those sales from The Oldies Collection.

Late in 2011 we have started our own top 40 show called the Oldies Collection Top 40 Countdown We count down the top 40 songs from the matching calendar week we are in and select a year from 1958-1989. The show airs Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and repeats at 5 p.m. (Eastern New York Time) On January 1, 2016. we broadcasted The Top 100 of 1979 show, filled with trivia facts and figures. Our recent special was The Top 50 songs that only got as high as #2 and never hit the #1 spot. This special marked our 4th anniversary of the show.

From 2011-2015 The Oldies Collection has donated $625.59 through E-bay sales to selected charities in need. You can help to by purchasing one of our countdown shows on Ebay for a 10% donation to a charity and 90% goes back into producing a show each week.

On January 31, 2016 Live 365 the server that carries The Oldies Collection ceased operations due to the new small webcaster regulations. With advanced notice we were able to carry over to our new server at 2 weeks prior to that date.

We are now broadcasting on Listen 2 My Radio with full music royalty licensing from Sound Exchange paid by The Oldies Collection.
